FAQ's

  • What is Coaching?
Coaching is a form of self development, where the coach supports you (the coachee) to create learning, self development and improved performance, through a series of structured conversations focused on your benefit. A coach uses a combination of observation, questioning, emotional support, listening, feedback and accountability to create these conversations effectively. The coachee will experience a focus and attention that enables them to develop a greater awareness and appreciation of their own circumstances. Additionally, they will create new ways to resolve issues, produce better results and generally achieve goals more easily.
  • Why do people have coaching?
People seek coaching as they want to improve their present situation and achieve goals. They want to approach situations differently and learn new ways of thinking to get better results. These goals may include being more effective and organised at work, gaining confidence in certain situations, or relating better to the people in your life. Common benefits people experience from coaching include: • Improved performance • Improved sense of direction and focus • Increased knowledge of self/self- -awareness • Improved ability to relate to and influence others • Increased motivation • Improved performance effectiveness, e.g. focussed effort • Increased resourcefulness/resilience, e.g. ability to handle change • Increased confidence
  • What will happen in the free first call?
We will explore where your current reality is, get to know each other, and see how working together will feel. The session will be around half an hour long in which I will ask you a series of questions to help me understand your needs and ambitions, both personally and professionally. I will then explain my perspective on your current situation and how I can best support you in reaching your objectives.
  • What does a typical coaching session look like?
Initially, a coaching framework called ROSA will be utilised, which involves working through four sequences of categories connected to your situation: Reality (What's going on?), Objectives (What do you want?), Solutions (How could you get there?) and Actions (What will you do?), to organise the client's thoughts and plans. Through this process we can use a variety of coaching techniques to develop a clear vision of what you want and a pathway to achieving it. Further sessions involve reviewing your development, actions and new understandings by discussing your wins and challenges since the last meeting. We will then cover what issues you want to deepen and focus on in the current session. Following this you will set actions to be worked on in between sessions. We can set up a shared document to track your progress on how you are getting further towards your goals, if you wish.
  • How long should I commit to the coaching process?
This depends upon the time you want to commit and your personal circumstances. Generally, the process depends on what you would like to achieve. I have coached people from 6 weeks to 12 months. A longer commitment usually enables more significant change, but this process is not strict and is dependent on you and your needs.
  • How often are the sessions?
There is no “one size fits all”-answer. Usually, people book weekly sessions to enable their progress in meeting their goals. But we can meet when it is right for you, given your objectives and other commitments.
  • Cost and payment method?
My fee for a 60-minute session is 40 Euros as I have just started my business and want to make my work affordable to a greater number of people at present. You can pay via a PayPal or bank transfer. Invoices can be sent weekly or monthly.
  • What Is The Cancellation Policy ?
If you need to cancel the session, please give at least 24 hours notice, otherwise you will be charged for the sessions. Of course under extenuating circumstances you will not be charged.
  • Confidentiality ?
Our discussions will be confidential, and I will not discuss our sessions with others unless I ask permission in advance, for example, if I want to find out how to help you better from a coaching colleague.
